COLLECTOR’S NOTES:

The first radio serial version of Terry and the Pirates ran three afternoons per week for Dari-Rich on the NBC Blue network from 1937 to 1939. It was moderately successful. In 1943, a revived five-day-per-week serial, sponsored by Quaker Oats, began on the Blue Network then moved to ABC. It had high ratings, second only to Jack Armstrong.

This BLB reprints the daily strip from January 25 to May 18, 1935. The story continues directly after the Terry and the Pirates BLB #1156.
